H.A. Hattery

H.A. Hattery writes Supernatural Cozy Murder Mysteries under the pen name Lucia Kuhl and Futuristic Western Mysteries as H.A. Hattery.
She writes mysteries featuring characters that were raised on Mayberry and Happy Days. Who still believe in Pioneer Values, and the American Dream, but who’ve learned some things were kept from us. Characters who have left the judgments of others in the past. Who’ve been battered and beaten by life and who are finding their path, their way, with their understanding of life.
She is an animal lover. Any spelling errors or typos in her books
are the work of her cats.  Not really! Indiana is home. She teaches Ballroom Dance and loves to see Notre Dame win. Born and raised in the country, she battles weeds in her flower garden between writing scenes and searching for lost relatives, current and past. A long line of military soldiers and farmers invaded her family tree (or, maybe, she invaded their’s) including a few from the American Revolutionary War. There is also an accused German Witch and a Michigan Politician in her background. Moon Lake Witch is loosely based on that ancestor.
A pony named Target clopped into her life and stepped on her foot.  At the age of three, a love affair with horses and Television Westerns began. A few years later, a favorite babysitter mesmerized her with countless ghost stories, and a second-grade teacher introduced her to Phyllis A. Whitney’s mysterious mystery books.
